Śomi Śniegocka is a sound and visual artist working through poetry, sonic practice and embodied imagination. Inspired by the surrealists and fascinated by psychogeography, she translates dreams into wa(l)king language. She creates site-responsive performances and sonic rituals that emerge from direct engagement with place.
In her work she enters into dialogue with more-than-human beings, engaging in processes of animal embodiment and transformation. Through these shifts of perspective, she explores intuition, listening and alternative modes of perception, often moving between waking and dreaming, linear and cyclical experiences of time. Her practice unfolds through voice, walking and deep attention to the murmuring sounds of the subconscious, drawing on Deep Listening, Logomotion and Dreamwork.
She studied Performance Studies at the Jagiellonian University and Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (PL). She teaches at the Institute of Art and Design at the Pedagogical University (UKEN) in Krakow and last year completed the PACAP 8 / Mystery School of Choreography program in Lisbon (PT).

Śomi Śniegocka – artystka dźwiękowa i wizualna, performerka. Pracuje z poezją, praktykami cielesnymi i głębokim słuchaniem. Interesują ją sny, inne wymiary czasu oraz cienka granica między jawą a śnieniem. Spacerowanie traktuje jako metodę poznania i sposób bycia w relacji z miejscem oraz z tym, co więcej-niż-ludzkie.
W swoich działaniach podejmuje procesy zwierzęcego wcielania i transformacji, badając intuicję oraz podziemne warstwy percepcji. Jej praktyka rozwija się poprzez wyobraźnię jako przestrzeń przejścia — między formami i stanami istnienia.
Od 2014 roku realizuje spacery 1:1 (dreaming walks), wyrastające z doświadczenia lunatykowania. W najnowszych badaniach koncentruje się na głębokim słuchaniu we śnie oraz nagraniach terenowych w wulkanicznym środowisku dźwiękowym.
Absolwentka Wydziału Intermediów na ASP w Krakowie oraz Mystery School of Choreography w Lizbonie, wykładowczyni w Instytucie Sztuki i Designu UKEN w Krakowie.
